Greek Turkey Burgers

Greek Turkey Burgers

These healthy and delicious Greek Turkey Burgers are juicy and full of flavor!

I used to think that all turkey was dry and had ZERO flavor but this recipe will change your mind in no time! The egg and breadcrumbs add to the AMAZING flavor of this burger. Trust me, this will be on your list of favorite recipes after you make them.

The tomato and cucumber salad helps make this burger over the top! One thing I like about this salad is that the longer it marinates the better it tastes, so go ahead and make this ahead of time. I even double the recipe for this to use as part of a salad for later on in the week! Woohoo! (#mealprepping)

I originally had this burger with a group of girlfriends many years ago when we were trying to stay healthy while having a fun girls night. Ever since then, I’ve made this recipe for my family during the week and it doesn’t bust your diet!

Greek Turkey Burgers

  • Prep Time: 15m
  • Cook Time: 20m
  • Total Time: 35m
  • Serves: 4

Ingredients

For Burgers

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp. Milk
  • 1/3 c Italian Bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 c Parsley
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Tomato & Cucumber Salad

    Dressing

    • 1 Package of Italian dressing mix from Good Seasons
    • 1/4 c Vinegar
    • 3 tbsp. Water
    • 1/2 c Vegetable Oil
    • 1/4 c Parsley
    • 1/3 c Red Onion
    • 1 c Cucumber
    • 1 c Tomatoes
    • 4 Pita Pockets
    • 1/4 c Feta

    Instructions

    1. First make the Italian dressing: mix the seasoning packet, vinegar, oil & water together.
    2. Then chop up tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, and parsley and add to a medium bowl. Add about 1/2 to 3/4 of the Italian dressing to the bowl of veggies, then cover and put in the refrigerator until ready to use.
    3. Mix the first 6 ingredients together in a medium bowl to make turkey burgers and then form them to make 4 patties.
    4. In a cast iron skillet heat 2 teaspoons of oil on medium heat; then add your patties and cook about 5 to 6 minutes per side.
    5. When burgers are almost finished toast 4 pita pockets.

    Building the Burger

    1. Place cooked turkey burger in toasted pita bread. (I like the cut mine in half to it will fit better) Then add your Tomato & Cucumber Salad and top it with feta cheese.
