Slow Cooker Pepperoncini Beer Brisket

Slow Cooker Pepperoncini Beer Brisket

This Slow Cooker Pepperoncini Beer Brisket is over the top AMAZING!! It is also one of the easiest recipes to make.

I first smelled this brisket when I was walking into my next door neighbors house (aka, my best friend Jennifer) to check on her sweet pup Sam, while she was in the hospital having her first little bundle of joy. Sam was in the back yard playing at the time so I had to let him in through their kitchen and that’s when I decided to take a peek of what Jennifer’s mom (Ms. Elaine) had cooking in the slow cooker. Ya’ll the smell alone after the brisket has been cooking a few hours is enough to draw a crowd in your kitchen.

My dear friend welcomed her first bouncing baby boy (he’s now 2) at the young age of 39 and her mom had made them the best meal for them to come home to. While I didn’t taste the brisket this go round I did ask Jennifer later on what all had her mom put in the brisket. When she told me it’s basically, beer, pepperoncinis and bouillon I couldn’t believe it and of course I had to try it myself.

This is a family recipe from Jennifer’s family and it’s already being passed around in mine it’s so good! So, thank you for the recipe Jennifer!!

I like the serve this with mashed potatoes and green beans and for leftovers make hot brisket subs.

Slow Cooker Pepperoncini Beer Brisket

Ingredients

  • 3 lb Boneless brisket
  • 12 oz Beer, Shiner Bock
  • 2 Beef bouillon cubes
  • 16 oz Jar of Pepperoncinis
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 tbsp. Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet with the vegetable oil on medium-high heat. While the skillet is heating, liberally salt and pepper the brisket.
  2. Once the oil is hot you will want to brown your brisket on all sides until giving it a golden brown sear. Roughly, 2 minutes per side.
  3. Pour beer, pepperoncinis, and bouillon cubes in crock pot. Place brisket in crock pot fat side up and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  4. When finished pull meat out on cutting board to rest then slice or pull apart the meat to serve.
  5. Use the leftover juices from the crock pot as a deliciously spicy sauce over the meat.
  6. Note: If your meat is still a little fatty for your preference remove some of the fat before slicing. I promise it will still taste delicious.
